Before the wedding, resist the urge to overindulge on alcohol with friends and family (yeah, we know it’s easier said than done). In addition to delivering a pesky hangover, booze can mute your blushing-bride glow. “Alcohol consumption is terrible for your complexion, and since it's super-dehydrating, it's an especially bad idea for a winter bride,” Schneider says. Don’t worry, you’ll have plenty of time to make up for it on your honeymoon.

Unless you have facials on a regular basis DO NOT get one the week before your wedding day. Facials can pull impurities to the surface, and you do not want to break out the week of your wedding. To also help avoid blotches and blemishes do not make any major changes in your skin care routine during the few weeks before your wedding. The weeks before your wedding is not the time to experiment with your skin care. If you regularly get facials have your last regular facial a good week before the wedding.
Now it's time to curl your eyelashes! While this can seem a daunting task to those who have never used a curler before, practice makes perfect. While looking in the mirror with eyes open, open the curler and lightly clamp down on your top lashes as close to your eyelid as you can get without pinching yourself. When you are sure you have just eyelashes - no eyelid! - in your curler press down harder. I generally hold it in position for 30 seconds to get the maximum curl possible! After you have curled both lashes apply eye primer. Take a small dab on your finger and rub into eyelid and above to brow bone (anywhere you will be applying shadow). Allow to dry.

Maharashtrian marriage is perhaps the simplest and the least opulent in the whole country. Unlike other weddings, most of the rituals are preformed early in the morning. The Maharashtrian marriage procedure starts with finding a suitable counterpart. After this, the horoscope of the boy and the girl are matched by the purohits. After the horoscopes match, the mahurut for the wedding is taken out. This is followed by the preparations for the marriage, with the wedding rituals being performed along side.

Pre Wedding Rituals
Sakhar Puda ceremony is the initial ritual which takes place in a Maharashtrain wedding. It can be termed as the engagement, wherein the bride is given a sari, and sweet or sugar, by the groom's family. Next is the Kelvan ceremony, which is performed at both the bride's and the groom's house. It is a small puja of the kuldevta, followed by a meal. After this, the Haldi ceremony takes place, wherein turmeric paste is applied to both the bride and the groom. This is known as Halad Chadavane. This is followed by Simant puja, wherein, once the groom arrives at the bride's place; her parents wash his feet and give him gifts.

Wedding Rituals
Antarpat is a silk shawl used to separate the bride and the groom. The maternal uncle of the bride brings her to the dias, where the mangalashtakas are recited. Then the shawl is removed and the couple sees each other for the first time and exchange garlands. At this moment they are showered with unbroken rice. After this, the couple asks their parents for permission to get married. This is called the Sankalp ceremony. After this, the bride's parents perform the Kanyadaan ritual, wherein they offer their daughter to the groom.

After Kanyadaan, the groom ties mangalsutra around bride's neck and applies vermillion in her hair parting. She in return applies a sandalwood tilak on his forehead. Next is the Vivah Homa, which is conducted by the groom in assistance with the priest. Following this is the Saptapadhi ritual, wherein the couple takes seven rounds around the sacred fire, taking seven vows. The wedding ceremony comes to an end with the Karmasampati ritual, wherein the bride's father, the bride and the groom please Gods to bless the wedlock.

Post Wedding Rituals
Grihapravesh is the first ritual conducted after wedding. The groom's mother welcomes the new couple and washes their feet with milk and water. After this the traditional aarti is performed and the bride is asked to enter the house by knocking down a glass of rice, kept at the entrance. The couple enters the house with their right foot. Last but not the least Reception party is organized, wherein sumptuous food is served for the guests.

Soundarya Rajinikanth Ashwin[2] (born 20 September 1984 as Shaku Bai Rao Gaekwad)[3][4] is a film graphic designer, producer and director who primarily works in the Tamil film industry. She is the founder and owner of Ocher Picture Productions. Soundarya began her career in films as a graphic designer. For those starring her father Rajinikanth, she designed the title sequences. She became a noted film producer through Goa (2010). She will be making her debut as a director in the film Kochadaiyaan.

Soundarya is also the founder and chief executive of Ocher Picture Productions. In 2007, Ocher Studios signed an agreement with Warner Bros. Entertainment to partner up in producing and distributing Tamil films.[5] Her directorial debut was supposed to be Sultan: The Warrior, a 3D animated film featuring her father Rajinikanth. The film however failed to take off.[6] She is currently working as director on Kochadaiiyaan, an upcoming motion capture film starring Rajinikanth.[7] Through Kochadaiiyaan, Soundarya earned the distinction of becoming the first woman to direct her father in a feature film.[8]

Soundarya is the younger daughter of Rajinikanth and his wife Latha Rajinikanth. Soundarya married Ashwin Ramkumar, an industrialist, on September 3, 2010 at Rani Meyyammai Hall in Chennai.[9] Soundarya and Ashwin have known each other for about 4 years. Her elder sister is Aishwarya Rajinikanth.

Suhasini Maniratnam (born Suhasini Charuhasan, on 15 August 1961) is an Indian film actress known for her works in South Indian Cinema. She made her film debut in 1980 with the Tamil film Nenjathai Killathe for which she won the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Actress. Suhasini has won the National Film Award for Best Actress for Sindhu Bhairavi in 1986.[2][3] She has received four Filmfare Award for Best Actress – Kannada, and a Filmfare Award for Best Actress – Telugu, and has garnered state awards like, Tamil Nadu State Film Awards, Nandi Awards and Kerala State Film Awards.[4]

Suhasini was born to Charuhasan, on 15 August 1961 in Chennai in the prominent Hassan family. In 1988 she married Mani Ratnam, and has a son.[5][6][7]
Film career[edit]

Suhasini started her career as a camera assistant to Ashok Kumar and later went on to become an actress.[8] Suhasini has acted in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam films. She started her career as a make-up artist for several leading actors at that time. She is extremely popular in Kannada movies. Her films Bandhana directed by Rajendra Singh Babu and Suprabhatha, directed by Dinesh Baboo was a blockbuster.
